Default Porsche 928 on Top Gear

Video of a top gear episode. Sorry if it's a repost, I didn't see it before. The youtube address is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGPR6tE9Bs
Yes, it's terrible abuse of an OB (checkered interior!) and it's probably the worst possible example of a 928 out there. But... it's probably the only 928 that's going to be on Top Gear for a loooong time. Enjoy!

YES if this is the $1500 porsche segment its very entertaining!

I love Top Gear's segments, very much outside the box from some of the other crappy auto shows on TV.

It was great that the 928 made out best in the end, selling its engine internals and block as a coffee table and i believe the seats were turned into home furniture as well. WAY TO GO CLARKSON!

OH and get well Hammond! ( I loved Hammonds brass door pull from wood furniture on that 924, or was that the 944 that had that unique mod???)

I miss Top Gear, get it back in that states please!

That's too funny! Too bad the car performed so poorly, but the furniture he created wasnt' that terrible - I just wonder what it cost him to have the car taken apart and make the furniture out of the pieces... That shoudl be factored in - no?

Not so, they did a pre-release show on the GT too. One of the New England folks had it on VCR and brought it to the Wilbraham event (the pics where we're all gawking at the TV...). That white car earned some complimentary remarks, along with the usual commentary of the time about weight and price.

That was funny......kinda odd how the two porsche designed cars broke down and the audi-VW designed "porsche" was the most reliable??

I watched all of it. What a hoot!! I laughed out loud (while at work, hope the boss wasn't looking). Funniest thing I have seen in awhile.

Top Gear is such a good show. There are a couple of versions of that table that I have seen on the net. Heres one that I saved awhile ago. {edit} now that I look at it again, its not a 928 engine. Its still cool though

I thought it was just freakin' hilarious! Makes me feel much better about my 928 now. Hell, 4 litres of coolant in one trip is nothing compared to that one.

Looks like a Rover 3.5 ltr (originally a '62 Buick 215 design)

very funny & good entertainment

I know the guy that they bought the 928 from; he had it for a parts car.

He did offer to fix the obvious faults but top gear were not interested.
