Default Snuffed A 350Z Tonight

Me and the wifey... Driving home, minding our own bidness.

Come up to a stoplight behind a new 350Z in the inside lane. Motorcycle in the outside lane.

Light turns green, and the bike moves out smartly. Z car toodles along. After a couple of blocks, I get tired of being stuck behind Z car and move into the outside lane to pass.

He, of course, immediately stomps it. I can't respond, because the bike is in my lane. He's flying down the road now, ahead of the bike, when the next light up ahead turns yellow.

He immediately whips his car into the outside lane ahead of the bike - inviting me to change into the inside lane. Which I do! Wifey rolls her eyes. I say, "Boys will be boys!"

I glance over at the stoplight, he's looking at me with this smug grin.

Light turns green, I floor it, he tries hard to keep up, but just cain't manage.

After about a half-mile, with him a little behind my back bumper, I brake for the turn-off to my home. He, of course, flies by triumphantly!

The Z really falls back once you get over 120.

From a roll, you would have decimated him. I can take a stock 350 from a 50-60mph roll, but from a stop I lose by a couple lengths till 60-ish, then start reeling 'em in(if it's not over by then )

Last weekend, I was coming home from a short road trip and I was entering a local freeway. As I entered, to my left I saw a flash of red and glanced over to see an older Ferrari F355. Naturally, I sped up a bit to catch up to it. We were in the left lane and someone was in front of him. He passed them on the shoulder/trouble lane! Seeing he was crazy I let him go, but a few minutes later I caught back up with him because there was a police car ahead of him. A mile or so later the police car exited and the F355 changed over one lane. I eased up beside him and downshifted to 3rd. He accelerated and jumped forward and I gave it all I had. I could hear his car growling too, so I knew it was on. I quickly passed him and was pulling away. At about 120 he was starting to gain and about 130 I saw traffic up ahead and didn't want to change lanes or fly through it. He came up just enough to pass me and then slowed down too and waved. I would have followed him to talk, but I had other things to do.

I was surprised I got the drop on him and held on for a bit until I looked up the specs on a mid 90's f355. Just a bit more horsepower(380) and lower 0-60(4.6), but the quarter mile time and top end isn't that far off. 13 seconds and 183mph.

Brett,
Thats much better. 928s4 vs F355. Certainly what I would consider peer group. I just don't understand why people bother or get excited about the 350Z matchup. What are they but basically a rebodied Maxima.
