option code lists are a tricky slope, if the salesman was inclined to input package options as individual it greatly exaggerates the list, and don't forget standard equipment listed as separate options
my 968 build sheet shows like 23 options but most are "standard" equipment, the only thing that's unique is the color combo, much like my nite green 88
as to this particular GTS, I think it's absolutely stunning and I'd buy it in a second if I was inclined to spend that kind of money on a car... but it's going to take someone who truly loves this color combo enough to pony up what the owner feels it's worth, and rightfully so, it's a 1 off
the guy who owns the Wimbledon green GTS has had it for sale forever for this very reason

Is there a Wimbledon green US car for sale? I have not been looking, but it is a cool color. There are a bunch of ROW Wimbledon green cars out there! Even saw one with the very rare tartan style cloth interior for sale on moblie.de many years ago! Pretty cool! Very unique!

Did I just miss the price somewhere...I didn't see it... "special order" hmmm...I wonder why? Like I said there were a ton of ROW models in that color. Maybe he is just talking about the interior? 5spd pretty low miles, that is nice. It would be a pretty nice car to have for sure. But for the right money. With those miles I'd say upper $40k's...close to $50k maybe. If it is as nice as it should be with 44k miles on it anyway... Of course I am a sucker for GTS's and I think ALL GTS's should be worth a small fortune. LOL!

There are also some late (VIN 0400+) '95 ROW cars which have some of the longest option lists ever seen in 928. Top 10 longest option codes are probably these:

Code:
Market VIN Year Country Engine Gearbox Options
------------------------------------------------------------
USA WP0AA2924SS820137 1995 C02 M28.50 A28.18 72
ROW WP0ZZZ92ZPS800451 1993 C00 M28.50 A28.18 68

ROW WP0ZZZ92ZNS801011 1992 C00 M28.49 G28.57 62
ROW WP0ZZZ92ZRS800068 1994 C00 M28.50 A28.18 62
ROW WP0ZZZ92ZRS800185 1994 C00 M28.50 A28.18 60
ROW WP0ZZZ92ZNS800075 1992 C00 M28.50 A28.18 60
ROW WP0ZZZ92ZSS800329 1995 C00 M28.50 A28.18 55
ROW WP0ZZZ92ZMS801545 1991 C00 M28.47 G28.55 54
ROW WP0ZZZ92ZRS800556 1994 C00 M28.50 A28.18 54
Last US '95 is at the top of the list but few German GTS are not far behind. 13th on the list and 2nd highest 5sp GTS with 46 options is Swedish '92 MY VIN WP0ZZZ92ZNS800521. Top ROW 5sp '95 is WP0ZZZ92ZSS800443 at 15th with 44 options.

Top US 5sp GTS is '93 WP0AA2924PS820114 at 19th with 42 options. Top US '95 5sp WP0AA2922SS820136 is far below 100th and has just 30 options.

Although some of the ROW cars seem to have more standard components listed as options than the US cars. The pearlglanz and the other cars on that list have far more from the exclusive department.

Nice enough car, but wood trim does not fit the 928 interior IMHO. BMW 8 or 6 (modern or contemporary) series either. It looks out of place. Great for the Mercedes and Jaguar coupes, though.

I agree, I think I have to sell one kidney to get that car.... And, as a classic furniture producer, I think that veneers, wood trim and really expensive woods suit better a cabinet or a classic sofa, not a car like this

This car remind me of the 1991 Frankfurt Motor Show cars. They were done same color and interior. Stunning.

I thought I had a pic of the 928 but can only find this one of the 964.

18,xxx miles and everything is leather with rootwood. It's an Oak Green 94' 5-speed that has been babied all it's life. THE KEYS ARE EVEN LEATHER COVERED! He has three of them, the one he uses has some missing leather, it's paper thin. The vents are leather, even the rear view mirror is leather covered. The center console trim parts, window switches, speaker rings...damn near everything is leather.

I will post more about it later, I have to get to work on it...
