Hey Dave,
Your hands weren't very steady in the 4th picture, any reason in particular?
Someone better make sure The Rixter doesn't see this thread. I'd hate to see him remortgage his new house, let alone become an indentured servant for the rest of his life!

Funny thing is: At the 928OC-IC, Gary Knox brought his GTS with factory rootwood, and the finish was cracked in many places. IIRC there were some scratches in the console also. He was planning to refinish it.
So I showed him my Jager kit of console pieces and door inserts in African Rosewood, and we held the two next to each other. He thought the Jager wood was the nicer type of wood. That was a nice compliment!!!

Once again, the car is not for sale. The old adage "Money talks" doesn't apply here. The owner knows what he has and is not willing to part with it. He does have an 86' 944 Turbo with 9600 miles (yes, 9,600 total miles!) that may be for sale though.
I didn't use a flash in the fourth photo, kinda' blurry...guess I should have left it out.
Nicole, the rootwood in this car does not even have a scratch. It is not all an overlay, the door pieces are about 3/8" thick and you can see where they carved out for the door handles. Can you imagine working in the Porsche WOODSHOP? The car has been garaged for it's whole life. There is no fading on the rear seats or carpet...or even the GREEN LEATHER CARGO COVER!
BTW, we also do leather work, remember? We may produce some of these items for sale at a later date.

Looks no different than most '92 and up euro GTS's as far as wood and leather goodies go. Still very nice though, especially for our usually vinyled up U.S. versions...............

Yes, they are not overlays - maybe another reason why these options were about 20x as much as the Jager pieces. Yep - about TWENTY times. Or more. I dion't have the exact US prices for these options.

Did the owner custom order it like this, or buy it like this from a dealer showroom?
On the round ***** in the instrument pod - isthe leather one piece, or is there like a donut shaped mask and a separate piece of leater wrapped around the side of the ****?
Does that phone still work? What technology and provider does it use?

What is last number in VIN? I can only read WPOAA2925RS82007 on sticker. 0074-0076 and 0079 are so far unknowns in Chuck's registry.
As VIN ending is 007x and its '94 MY it should have Cup I wheels. First US VIN to have Cup II's was '94 MY 0080.
Why it has 718 VIN model year change option? That is normally early '93 MY thing. Maybe this has something to do with Cup I wheels on first 19 US '94 MY cars?
AFAIK this is first known Oak Green Metallic GTS in US. This makes it 6th in the world that I know of. There are probably many more in ROW cars but only few if any in US. As so many US models were ordered by dealers Oak Green and few other colors like Wimbledon Green and Cobolt Blue are rare in US.

Option list is too short for what it has. Many leather options must be included into last two listed numbers.
C02 Rest of USA (in 1991 became all of USA)
331 AM/FM cassette with 2 door speakers
513 Lumbar support right seat
570 High output air-conditioner
586 Lumbar support left seat
650 Sunroof
692 Remote CD changer (6-disc)
718 R program VIN change for May 1993 models for USA / Canada only or S program VIN change
900 Tourist delivery
935 Seat cover rear RLL
980 Seat cover ruffled leather
XC8 Schalthebelknopf in Wurzelholz hell mit Schaltschema, incl. Schaltmanschette
XD4 Crested rim caps
XL4 Root wood center console, door panel and trim inlays with analog clock
X31 Griff für Handbremshebel in Wurzelholz hell
09971 Custom Tailoring Instructions
09991 Manufacture from the exclusive program
Is build date at door sticker May '93? It would explain 718 as R program VIN change for May 1993 models for USA.
