Anyone a Porche Club of America Member?
#31
As a matter of fact, I renewed my old membership about 3-4 days ago. But apparentely, there's a waiting period even for previous members, so it's not official for 3-4 weeks. I feel like I'm joining a country club or something.

The Redwood Region is 928 friendly. We routinely have four 928's paticipating in our auto-crosses (6 at our last event). I'm a 1 term past VP and 2 term past Pres. of the region. We've got something going on just about every weekend.
If you're unhappy with your local region - change it - or join a different region. Things are run by people who show up. If you don't contibute anything, you've got nothing to bitch about.

Looking to spend between $18,000-25,000.

I made her immaculate, and pulled $32K out of it. I'd say it was worth it. i had to fix a pan gasket leak, clutch bearing, severe detail job, plus other miscelaneous items. Great car at the end though. Would have been perfect for you at the original $25K.
Like I said, I'll let you know when I come across something that fits your profile....................free of charge, of course.

Why not just go for an extra 20-30,000 miles and pick up this rare GT for $15K or probably less! Hit the guy now with a low CASH offer and tell him you can pick it up immediately. Most people will go for this type of strategy. They prefer the quick bucks, and don't want to take a chance on not meeting the reserve, or selling to a non-paying bidder. I think this looks like a pretty decent GT. It's red (third most popular color), it's an '89 GT (most popular year), and most everythings already been done mechanically. Do a very quick PPI if you feel the need, but move fast, or this ones gone! Good luck!

Say John, you coming out for sharktoberfest again?
Don't think I'm making it this year, but you never know. Love going out to Ca. to see my West Coast friends.
The Frenzy is the same weekend and just a bit closer of a drive from my house

Brand new timing belt, water pump, tensioners, torque tube, tires etc. All service history since new. Possibly even the original window sticker.......he's still looking for it.
Oh, and a wiiiiiide open title as well! Save thousands over buying from an uninformed dealer.
Just an offer of what I've got right now. Exceptional car!

So...I am in the ball park for a fair asking price on mine
Lowmiler...have Any pics?
But I do have an easy concours winner, '87 red automatic S4 with black leather, heated seats, lumber, platinum anodized wheels, new Michelin Pilots etc. and only 28,500 miles for only $24,900! It is a varifyable 1 owner car, all original, complete and just plain absolutely stunning!

I haven't personally experienced the ignore-ance of the other P-car owners towards us 928ers yet but if the PCA mags and literature that I've seen are an indicator, I suppose what I've read here on Rennlist may be true. Maybe it's just that there are so many more of them and the club is just following the money. I'll reserve judgement on the other guys until I've spent some time in their company but I doubt I'll renew my PCA membership if there isn't at least some more dedication to the 928 in the future.

And I can't tell you how priceless that is. $15K could be spent in no time bringing one with less miles and lesser care up to the same specs.
Anyway, I wouldn't hestitate on this one, my friend!
