I am a 2 that wants to be a 4, so maybe I am closer to a 3. I bought the car as a "project" and it has been all of that. One of these days (or maybe months) I will get to drive it enough to know what I want it to be. For now I am trying to be patient and do the right things to get a solid car on the road after - steering rack replacement, TB/WP, intake R&R, new distributor caps, cleaned injectors, installed sun roof seals (I don't think it has any - ask me how I know), etc. etc.

Um, so you are the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle!

Solid 3.3, to far away from any dealership plus I'm not paying them $$$ when I've got Nov - Apr to do it myself.

Still in the learning curve working my way up from working on my MG to a Porsche. The MGB is kind of like a lawnmower compared to the 928 that is a Space shuttle by comparison. So if I run into something I’m unfamiliar with I’m still stuck relying on others for help or I have to take it to a shop. But normally I'm a firm 3 in the do it yourself category.

Bret- i've been fixing and p'm-ing for 25 years on my car, still have a lot to learn mainly because the darn thing just keeps running, and it never sees a dealer or repair-shop.!

I have a budget that makes me a 3 for now, I'll probably be a 2.5 or even a 2 at some point, until I can save up another hunk of change.

Dan, I know just what you're talking about. When I was single I rebuilt the engine in an old 280z and drove it for just a few years before I had to make the big decision . Not very 'practical' was that car.

Now this car is my return to spending 'quality time' in the garage with something other than a minivan. I enjoy the PM and even the repairs.

Exactly my position too! Also know where the blessing comes from, and accept being blessed out caused by your own fault.

Sheech...! From the looks of this poll, it looks like maintaining 928s is a way of life. I'm a 4 because I tend to be **** retentive, paranoid, and afraid that a piece of dust might get on my cars. I have 4 car covers for three cars. Anything sitting outside gets the double-cover treatment, even if it is already under a carport.

Time to take my meds...

A solid 2.75 - never enough days for 3.0
