My sad suspension

Update on my ride height question- talked to DR this morning concerning my ride height concerns, along with the wrong nuts Koni also sent the wrong shocks Dave said the Koni perches should be in the same place as the Boges. I knew this didn't feel right but I am no suspension expert.

A lot of people have made the switch to this set up and I haven't heard that this was an issue before.
FWIW- forget about trying any shortcuts- drop the lower A arm (5 bolts) and the job is easy

Do you have spare sport springs? How do the Eibach's compare?

I do have spare springs; 2 blue marks for the rears and 2 brown marks for the fronts which I believe are stock S4 springs.
I changed the shocks and springs together and the difference was night and day. I can go into corners much faster than before with no under or over steer; straight line stability at high speed is excellent as is braking, all very stable. The Michelin PS2s have a bit to do with it all . Let me know if you need the springs.

OK, I have the Eibach/Bilsteins coilvers built and ready to swap in this weekend.
Mark Kibort: You made the statement that the Eibachs were "challenging" for racing, but OK after you cut them down. Could you elaborate? Is there a lower rate area on one end that you cut off? Did you use a spacer to compensate? If so, where did you get the spacer?
I'm a wondering about this in reference to open road racing where I am not so sure I want a progressive spring.

Bill - Good to hear you finally received the remaining parts to prep the Bilsteins for Sunday; unfortunately I won't be able to assist this weekend, as we've already got plans for the 3-day.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that the outcome is a noticeable improvement !!

Thanks guys. I posted in the OT forum about it.

Nothing broken, no internal leaks. So far I can move around a little, but the left side is getting stiffer.

Rich -
What the hell was the other guy's excuse? That looks/sounds pretty serious. I'm glad you're well enough to be home posting about it. Hope you can make it to Devek day.
Looking forward to some entertaining posts while you're hopped up on goofballs.
