Tony, that's yellow cad (or gold cad) plating. You might be able to find it in Nevada, not sure. The somewhat more friendly version would be yellow zinc with a chromate wash.

Great way to end the year.... Out of the paint shop.
After seeing the same car for 20 years and now today with new paint... I'm stunned

And it turned into a RHD. You better send it to me in Australia.
Actually on second thoughts it might be a RHD....I thought it was a mirror thing and I was being smart......so confused.

Since my dad dropped a ladder on it... again, my 89 got some stickers to help distract from the crease you can see in the top left part of the fender.
