Wrapped up a successful AC overhaul and conversion to 134a. Today it passed the vacuum and pressure tests and blows cold. I replaced all the seals, and overhauled the compressor, rebuilt the AC lines, and replaced the expansion vales and received drier. Another very satisfying project!
I haven't been online for awhile...The newest addition to the Porsche farm.. 1979 brown 5 speed time capsule... It was in an accident in the late 80s never made it back on the road, it has been in storage ever since. Pretty much everything is original. It was only missing a few generic pieces.. Full original exhaust.. Interior is ok no sun damage.. Paint is a repaint from the accident I am thinking.. The only damage I found on the car was the rad support was bent up really bad and a repaired hole in the front of the oil pan.. The engine was never put back together.. I have replaced the engine with a spare for the time being until I get time to open the old one up so see if there is any inside damage... Gas tank has been cleaned out. I am just in the middle of a clutch master replacement.. That is it for now...
