Default Weissach Pics: March 1977

A few shots I took one Sunday afternoon in March 1977. Weissach. Before anyone outside Porsche knew what a 928 looked like. These were taken with a telephoto lens, through the fence, which didn't exactly allow for any professional composition.

Will post 1977 factory pictures that I took on another thread if there is interest.

HA! It was a car destined for the US with no side view moirror and check out the Porsche center caps. Pointed straight at the valve stems...from the factory! Awesome!

That's ga-narly, dude! Looks like an early engine (threaded dipstick, no crank idler[s], flat tooth belt <83), with a late tensioner (w/sensor, no bleeders 85?)?

How do you make a Porsche go faster? Take away some of it's reliability.
How do you make a Lotus faster? You can't. They are already unreliable!

HTML Code:
Does this qualify as having a bad day??
Not entirely bad.
1. It looks like an early motor so I hope there was no valve damage
2. You could remove the plastic cam covers without removing the dipstick holder
3. The oil pump cam wheel does not look worn...
