Tires tested to 130mph+!!! "You won't be going that fast, of course".

The one that I have is a 2 page magazine ad. When I scanned it, I got the seam in the middle, and it was pretty noticeable.
I touched it up w/Photoshop in high-res. to where it's practically undetectible, and formatted it for a standard 12" x 18" print.
I then had prints made (photo lab prints - not color prints from a printer). I mounted them on adhesive foamboard and the results are fantastic. If you have a Costco w/a photolab nearby, a photo enlargement is only $3 and the quality can't be beat.
I've uploaded this file (5.5 megs) onto my Rennlist site. I'm not sure, but I think that if you right click on this link and "Save Target As..", it will download for you.

If not, send me a PM and I'll email you the file.

J.P. and Tony, please take those off. It took enough time with Fios to download, slower connections will get killed.

Ed, my bad. I had originally put a smaller image on my site, and linked to that in my post. I accidentally uploaded the full size image and kept the same name, so the link in my earlier post became the huge one. I've since changed it back to the smaller size, but I can't edit Tony's.

AFAIK the second rear axle on this one is not connected to the drive train. IN fact, one of the biggest challenges - so I heard - was to get any traction with this set-up. They had to test out a whole bunch of different suspension settings to make it work. Then the German TÜV balked, but somehow through connection with Porsche they were able to get it legalized and registered.

You probably know that the yellow 928 6wheeler truck from Las Vegas now also resides in good cold Germany - near Karlsruhe, about an hour from Stuttgart, to be more specific.

Sounds like another winning broadband strategy from the phone company.

Not a dig at you Ed... I'm a telecom guy and FIOS is advertised in this area as the salvation for those wanting high speed internet access. Most of the people I've talked to so far, are somewhat underwhelmed with its performance. After waiting for years for DSL, I had ISDN service installed. A couple of years ago, I moved up to a cable modem.

My lousey cable modem took a whopping 0.9sec to download the file. It's like a 928, fast, reliable and just quirky enough to keep you interested.

Um, I don't think it's the same file now.......Fios is pretty decent, IMO.

I don't recall at the moment as to where I got these, but maybe others would be interested in copying them for their own files. I haven't taken the time to translate them on Babelfish, but if someone wants to go for it...

Let me know if some of you have trouble due to this being too large of a post and I will break it up.

From the motherland...
