Not a big fan of chromed centers, but I love the look of those wheels & your new red ticket-getter.

Are we allowed to talk on this thread? :-)

I had no idea anyone else on RL had these wheels, thanks for the heads up. The manufacuturer told me they have only made one set for a 928, so that's probably Keith's since the offsets don't seem right on mine. The wheels on my car were probably made for some other Porsche. I just PM'ed Keith about the wheels.

Must post a pic with every reply?

Yup. Rules are a 928-relative picture with every post. But it looks like you have the Pandora's Box of nice photo subjects with your new red Shark.
Someone has put some serious money into upgrades. Aero mirrors, white sidemarkers, painted calipers, those wheels..what aren't we seeing?
Re: the wheels, Keith will probably fill you in on this, but since they're true 3 piece wheels, you may be able to correct the front offsets with a different rim from Forgelite.

Default Upgrades

The PO obviously put a lot of money into the car, but also ignored checking the flex plate (I blame that more on his mechanic since he didn't do his own wrenching), and he did some upgrades that were not to my tastes, like silver spray paint on the door vents, and center console. The silver paint is all gone now...

Under the hood, there was some well done powdercoating that I transferred to the new engine, and a few chrome peices like the throttle linkage and hood latch an hinges.

I painted the calipers, installed nicer seats and a 59k engine!

Default Special Delivery

Mike,

Yes, that's the plan. Pretty much have it ready to go. Might try to fix the heater this week since it's going to be cool at night, but everything else is sorted, the cruise even works which I have never had in the last 16 years with the 86.5.

Yes - looking through this thread you'll notice that some folks don't ever figure that out.

This might help for your clear corners:

Default Yellow bulbs

JP,

Thanks for the tip on Keith's wheels, I found some threads from 07 where he gives lots of info about them and some issues he had.

Randy,

I think the blinker was actually on in that pic and the the bulb is lit up. I have been so busy with other tasks on that car, I haven't even thought about the minor stuff like bulb color, but I guess I'll get there... Here's a shot where the bulb isn't visible.
