Eric,
It's an older JVC deck w/a custom face skin. I need to updated it a little, but the idea was for something modern, yet OE'ish.
My favorite thing about the deck is its multi-color LCD choices.

It's JVC KD-AR600, not made anymore. I just sifted thru ebay and didn't find it.
When mine breaks, I will be sad. Best $150 deck I've owned.

I almost bought this car a few years ago. Super low mile one-owner 1986.5 S with dealer-installed hidden headlights.

Moda Wheels test fitted on `78 race project car. Photos by Chris B. on his newly acquired Petrol Blue car. Sorry about the tape.

That car is now in Mandeville, Louisiana. I've seen it often driving around and know a friend of the owner. I understand it had a major hit by a lady that ran into it while it was sitting in a driveway. I was told at the time that it was probably totaled. Note that I've seen it within the last 2 months, after the accident, and it looked pristine again. I was also told that the headlights were a dealer install.

And because I have to:

The original owner said the dealer in So Cal where he bought it sent a number of new 928's to a local shop for this mod. I don't know how many cars were modded, but they were sold that way off the showroom floor.

Good to know where the car went. The original owner had it for sale in So Cal in 2008. Too bad about the damage, but I'm glad to hear it didn't go to the crusher.

Oops...almost forgot to post a pic...or stay out!

Why would anyone in their right mind eliminate one of the most unique and identifiable features of the 928 and replace it with a costly, soon-to-be-dated Jap-looking mod?
Not to say that the Supra is an ugly car, but I'm thinking:

I have to admit I was a little off-put when I first saw the pictures but I was fascinated by the uniqueness and the provenance of the car. In the end, I passed and decided if I bought another 928 it would have the trademark skyward-pointing headlamps, like the great Lamborghini Miura.

Guys... this really is a 928 picture thread, not an "anything but a 928" thread!
