No offense towards James (and I don't thiink he meant it the way it came out) but I think it is pretty cool and would like to see some more pics.

It may not be exactly my cup of tea, but it looks like a lot of effort was put into this car.

JEEEZUS! This is F*ing out of hand! First of all there is one damn picture of the back of the car and no comment AT ALL! If there had been a comment like, "This is my race car..." then I would have kept my opinion to myself...not to mention I would have had a totally different opinion anyway. I figured it was a random shot of a 928 someone (Belgiumbarry) had seen somewhere... Not my cup of tea for a street car and that is what I thought it was...an overdone riced out 928 for the street!

As a race car...well, that is another story altogether and I apologize for my comment! It was out of line. It was certainly NOT my intention to start some sort of crazy flame war on this thread!

Norbert you hang in there with us buddy and do whatever you gotta do to your beast! I owe you a beer man! Come to the OCIC this summer and I'll buy you a couple!

I like the other shots of the car and Norbert, you have done a TON of work on that beast! Well done! Still not a fan of the 928MS flares, but other than that, WOW! I really like the interior btw!

Hopefully soon to be my new baby - a 1993 928GT. Have checked with Porsche UK head office and the car was definately only registered as new in 1993 and is probably the newest 928GT in the UK. Anyone know how I can check the build date? Fingers crossed, following a 928 specialist inspection, it will prove to be a good one!

Alan I have NO IDEA what that is... Is it the missing part that is making my '92 now idle like CRAP?! We have pulled off the intake and replaced every hose, idle stabilizer, knock sensors and it is just $hit now! It was idling very high and that is why we took all the intake off and started replacing stuff that need to be replaced anyway. When it went back together it was the right idle speed but lumpy and bumpy and no power off the line and stumbly. It has deteriorated all of a sudden too. Maybe over the course of a couple of weeks but only probably 100 miles or so... Pissing me off that is for sure. I bet it is an MAF failure...that or a brain failure.

928S286.5 that is a very interesting car you have there... It is NOT a '93 that is FOR SURE! Might have been registered in '93 but it is a '91 GT, that has '92/'93 wheels and '92-'95 mirrors. Hope you did not pay GTS prices for a GT! Check your VIN I am pretty sure that will tell you exactly what model year Porsche says it is and the door jamb will tell you the month and year it was built (or at least here in the USA we have a sticker that gives that build date info). Car does look great, it does not have the ugly rear end of some of the race cars that get pictured here have! LOL! I couldn't resist that!
