Thanks. I bought this car 5 years ago and its time has finally arrived. I’m excited to get it done but when I put it on the lift I asked why I do this to myself. Everything is no exaggeration. The plus side is I have been gathering parts over these past 5 years and other than paint, I have most everything needed to complete it.

I went to the Van Sant airport wheels and Wings show this was taken after most had left,
it was a nice sunny day to start off but a bit cool and a bit more wind and clouds,
a whole lot of cars showed up. About 350 to 400

@olmann : You probably know already, but mineral spirits are sort of magical at cleaning up that caked on oil gunk. It's not quite as fast as brake cleaner but a little friendlier to work with in an enclosed space. I'm going through that right now with a non-Porsche car and letting everything drip off onto Pig mats has been pretty effective for the initial cleanup.
Good luck with the restoration, it will be great to see the end result.
