Hard to believe. It felt like just yesterday that you posted on the 964 turbo forum and asked if you should paint the wheel centers. It was that post that rekindled my interest in the 928 and GTS especially. If it weren't for you I wouldn't be asking the next question. Sorry to see this day but I am sure it won't be long before you are owning another.

I picked up a set of factory speedlines with polished centers and they do nothing for my turbo over the painted centers but thought they would look great against the amazon on the GTS.

Does anyone know if the 8 x18 ET 52 and 10 x 18 ET 61 speedlines will fit a GTS and what do you think of polished speelines on this car?

No, they will not fit into your GTS. I can help though, I'll give you $100 for them.

Should fit OK IIRR. Front could use few mm more ET. I'll give you little mere than $100 if you want to get rid of them.

I'll give you $105!
Anthony, Chuck's taste in wheels and the visual examples that resulted were a huge influence on my choice of RAL's. I like them, however not as much as the 3.6/Speedline look.
IMO-FWIW, I think that the 3.6/Speedline wheel is the best look for 928s - barring none.
This 968 is apparently Am. Green w/RUF Speedlines. One of the nicest looking 68's that I've seen.

Whether to stay with the polished aluminum or to paint the centers (black or Am. Green) is a tough one.
I've stayed with the alum. centers with my wheels, however every time I see Chuck's painted centers, it gets me thinking....

New shoes:

I felt like odd man out that day. I was so ready to take my GT to Frenzy that day, but I guess it wasn't.
That sticky clutch was nothing more than water getting on the metal hub in the disk and rusting it to the splined center shaft (as dr. bob so astutely pointed out). Cranking it in gear while on 4 stands, with the clutch depressed broke it free. A sound that i hope never to hear again.
