Bill, any recognizable play is usually significant, especially if other suspender components are tight.

Think of your hand out in front of you and the very slight normal shakiness; then hold a yardstick out in front of you and see the magnification at the stick's end => while your bearing had only a tiny bit of movement, deflection at the tire is a foot away, which can excentuate enough to allow the wheel to dance a little.

Your total setup is precise enough that you know if something is not responding perfectly, by the 'it just doesn't feel right' meter. Very small margin of error and that bearing had to be <at minimum> contributing to the vagueness. Good to hear it's better before we got into the fun stuff with the bushings

Alignment done. Car was found to be toed-out in front, so that was probably a major factor. I did not like the way the last alignment was done, suspected it might be toed-out. Some of the other numbers were asymetric, but within spec. We set it at small toe-in, mid-range camber and very negative (a little over 4 degrees) caster. That caster is out of spec, but good for open road racing high speed stability. Car seems better, but I won't know for sure until I can get it up in the 140+ range. Tech took 2 1/2 hours.

WooHooo!! Gotta love when "checking to see if it's better" means 140+

You know based on your burnouts it does not take long to get to 140 !

Aw he does that all over the place. Just sits there going up in smole while Mr. Bear searches for the source of the noise. Glad his car is white so they won't confuse it with mine. Gives the neighborhood a bad name.
