Pull the battery cable and remove all the plugs ( to relieve pressure on the thin sliver of remaining TB). Then carefully turn the crank to TDC and verify that the cam indicies line up. Passing this test, another 1 3/4 turns to 45 deg BTDC and stick on yoiur flywheel lock .... and continue the teardown.
There is no way you want to do a compression test with that 'TB': if you wish that data, follow the above, and stick on a good used belt for the test.

Although it looks like the WP spent a lot of time moved forward, digging through the timing belt cover, this does mean that it could have moved in and out, so the block needs to be examined. We saw impeller damage to the block in a less severe WP failure on a car Heinrich bought. Maybe a 1/16th to 1/8th inch of wear. The new WP still pushes coolant just fine in that car.
The water pump pulley destroyed the timing belt cover. This all happened in a few minutes??
5k miles on the pump! Woah, that is bad. The rebuilder owes you bigtime. He's real lucky that he doesn't owe you even more.

I cannot even describe the relief I felt last night. New house, a garage etc.
It was sitting in the garage for a month now, I have all the tools I need including compressor etc. and I was gonna try to get my work bench set up and my roll away tool chest bought before invinting the DFW crew over for the exam, but lastnight i had it and at 9:00pm I decided to go for it. So glad i did. IN as much as I like my 300srt8 the porsche just screams KEWL!
