It would be interesting if they really did this, and if they kept it simple, light and performance rather than luxo-based. One can olny hope and scrape together about what... 175K?... - Ruf

I posted the bottom one some time ago. If it's that, I"m all for it. Then they can hang the 928 name on it. Otherwise, it's a Panamera, a car that personally doesn't stir any emotions. I like the Maser Quattroporte better.

Well, that's what the 911 *should* be, and the 928 should be the GT.

However, it would be pretty sweet to see a lineup that consisted of a 928 GT,CS,GT2,GT3, a la the current 911. One can dream.

This ain't bad either...

I thought this was interesting. What exactly are they trying to say?

...And probably the most telling photo of all, especially since Porsche used an Audi sedan to test the 928's chassis. - Ruf

Hadn't seen that red car above. I really like the lines on that. It is pretty exciting that there is possibly a rebirth of the 928.

I think it would be very hard to match that outstanding new car that Porsche produced back in those late seventies (928).
The new one would have to be so far out futuristic, and flaten every other car maker with similar class cars.
Then again if a new version of the 928 was to come from Porsche, I gues my '81 models price will just skyrocket in value.
Their is one car that reminds me of what it would have been like to see a new 928 back in 1978, and thats maybe the SLR from Mercedes. What a weapon. Still it didnt get car of the year award, and is a little impracticle.
Thats just my view.

It will be interesting to see what the 4 door & 2 door end up looking like.....& what engines they get....a 2 door "S" with a 6.0L V10 and 650+hp would be sweet....seriously expensive...but still sweet! My guess is $150K+
