Default Which of these speakers for my 82?

out of these speakers, it looks like only the infinity Kappa's, and the BA's... now, I am picky on sound, and price isnt really an issue... unfortunately, I am not as well schooled as I would like to be on the fine parts of car audio... so, out of these, which are the best? fit, direct replacement, and sound?

thanks all. appreciated as always.

Default Kappa's in my GTS

I installed the Kappa's. I had to modify the magnet holes in the rear for them to fit.

doors have shallower indentations on older cars. and rears are same however, the leather/vinyl is significantly different, but the older ones are actually bigger (square) ... and the really old ones have perforations which is a sin to cut. On those, you will be stuck with very flat speakers.

Tim,

Sounds like you should pull the speakers, review the holes, then go see what the best speaker will fit.

Best of luck on your tunes...

I tried every "stock" size speaker Circuit City had a few years ago. This included the Kappas, Polk, Alpine (back when they carried all of these) Pioneer etc... None of them fit in the doors. The Polks were close but I would have to cut a releif hole in the door metal to fit the magnet.

I may just pull the ones out of my 81 and look up the model number. I know they are aftermarket... BA's I think
