To legally import a U.S. car into Canada, you must first go through an export process with U.S. Customs, showing valid title and registration. So when (if) this car left the U.S., would U.S. Customs not maintain a database of this info with the destination? Would it be searchable at an individuals request?

I was looking at the pictures again and noticed on the window sticker this car does not have supple leather.....

Here's more pictures. I have about 50 pictures and most of the rest are close up engine shots....

Does it look like somebody has taken the rear AC unit apart and not put it back together correctly? Its not sitting on the tunnel right and the section of trim between the vents is lifted.

As long as I pointing out little cosmetic things I see here's one of the underside of the hood where the paint looks light on the four openings in the crossmember. Perhaps all 928s are like that and I just never noticed.

It also appears PDI in Charleston missed Z option ZA 1956.5 = deletion of cosmoline. On the second shot under the rear end it looks like someone tried to clean if off..... Geez the more I see on this car the less attractive it looks to me.... or NOT!

...you'd think, it has literally vanished since last being seen in 1999.

Wow!

I have a factory leather cargo cover for my car. I don't recall that Porsche crest on mine. I will have to look. My car does have the crest embossed in the front seat headrests, though.

I'm pretty sure that James Dean's 550 was also last seen in Florida. Coincidence? Bermuda triangle?
