Brian,

Great choice of wheels!!! VERY sharp. Silver 5-spokes on a Guards Red car just look SWEET IMO. Really updates the wheel/tire combination to go with the already timeless beauty of the body shape ...'course you know now you need to get aero mirrors and body colored wing...

"I'm going to check out these wheels" was what Brian said on Sunday as he pulls up at Bill's house with his truck and money in hand. LOL.
Those wheels are slick. It is a different looking wheel than the 996's I have. Sure does update the look.

Aero mirrors and a GTS wing are on the "list" But will have to wait until next year :>( The front tire is just at the outside edge...but still clears no problem...no rubbing even at full lock...but its close I can barely squeeze my finger in for clearance...probably less now that the suspension has settled back to normal ride height (it used to be 26.5" at the top of the fender....maybe 26.6 now)

928's just look so sweet with new Porsche wheels.....996 lightweights, Turbo Twists 2 and these were my choices....but I really like the cup two 17" too....it just makes the car look so much more modern! I'll go for a longer drive today to get an better feel for the handling/ride!

Brian,

Excellent choice and just in time for the party. If your center caps don't come in I can lend you some for Sharks at the Lake. Diamont Blau came with them and I changed them out.

Looking forward to seeing all of the Concours cars in Tahoe this Weekend. My GTS will be envious!!

Rich,

Which car are you bringing? Both?

I've got some fresh silver painted metal center caps with black logo. They are the flat type, though. I think these take dished.

Brian, very nice! Once you burn the skin off, those should be very grippy!

Any pics of your mud flaps and clear bra install? I have the same issues and was contemplating a similar solution.

I hope the center caps come in before we leave on friday.....I got the flat all metal, full color center caps....I think the concave would fit a touch better (like on Stevens)....but they don't make a metal concave....we'll see how it looks when its done......also the dust cap is pretty close...the concaves might hit it?

Tim & Bill
If the caps don't make I would love to borrow a set!! That would be great!

Concave plastic are probably what came with them. You know the front bearing dustcap can be "modified" to make the concave caps fit. I'll bring the silver caps along in case anybody wants them.

Geez Andrew, aren't you satisfied with getting screwed from your latest aquisition

Anyway, I'll be happy to trade you my new 19" Carrera Classics for your SC... if you can't wait for the fundage to build up...
