Thanks Neil. Okay, so just over 3/16. Hmm. Anybody have a source for metric brake line and the nuts?

Old line of my 90GT = .189"
New line .188" (I used to replace the Right rear as I couldn't unstick the fitting to the flexi)
I may be wrong but I don't think they make metric copper brake pipe.
Not sure about the the Pre 85 cars but I know that the 85 on only has one pipe front to rear. This ends at the T connector in the middle left of the rear subframe. Then there's two pipes one to each side of the car. LHS is easy to fit, RHS is a bugger as it goes over the tranny and you can't get your hands over the tranny to clip it in place.
Pipe Lengths are
Brake pipe 92835505704 = 24cm
Brake pipe 92835505901 = 94cm

Forgot to add - end fittings are male M10x1 (1mm thread pitch) and have about 13mm of thread. If you are fitting Goodridge SS flexis you may want to use fittings with 20mm of thread as the goodrige flexis don't always have a female end fitting short enough for the 13mm thread to actually seat the double flare on the pipe.

SA - Shark Attack - I don't like typing long names that were made up anyway.

I’m resurrecting this old thread because I’m where Brendan was 4 years ago. I’m about to start laying out the new hard lines for the RS4 project and I need to make sure I’m getting the right OD hard lines. All the brakes parts are off an S4 if that helps. I found a company that sells 6mm OD tubing for brake lines… but is that the right size?

I ended up using simple hardline in the -4 size. I think it was -4. That way I was able to to use relatively inexpensive -4 hard line fittings from summit racing. I don't think it was -3, but it might have been. And then connectors that would allow me to mate back up to the SS teflon brake lines to the calipers that I already had - adapters to the porsche size. I now know I could have just had Greg B make me whatever goodridge sizes i needed out of the AN stuff, but I did not know that then.
