No - Spanner will do idle adaptation, and of course read out LH faults, EZK faults, PDS and airbag faults. Spanner will also do actuator tests on injectors, flappy, tank vent etc etc.

LH ST will give some clues as to whether (for example) the ISV system is working correctly, but not other things like the tank vent to the charcoal cannister...

The LH ST gives enough info for successful remapping.

Will the LH and EZK be packaged as one SharkTuner or be sold separately? I like the fault buttons on the EZK screen. Any chance of putting a similar feature on the LH screen as well (or are they already there and I just didn't notice them at DR's place)?

There are some hardware mods required for the earlier ST already delivered. And then a software update.

We will continue to sell LH only ST, or the LH/EZK version. There will be a charge for the upgrade of 200USD. (300USD if the ST has to be returned for hardware upgrade).

Everything you need for LH remapping is there already on the LH ST. The system monitor allows you to keep a check on all the essentai parameters.

The User manual is on DR's website in pdf format...

By the way, there were many impressed fans of the SharkTuner at SITM.

Great to hear that ! It has been a lot of work for myself and Niklas.

I have found the SharkTuner to be just as valuable as a troubleshooting tool as it is a tuning tool. But, unless I missed something (or John's holding out on me:-) the ST cannot read all the error codes and certainly can't clear them. That is where the Spanner or Hammer comes to play.[/QUOTE]

Quite right Dave ! They are complimentary.......

John,

Do you need an EPROM eraser and/or burner to use the ST to remap the EPROMS? Does that device(s) come with the ST or is it (they) purchased separately? Sorry, I wasn't able to watch Dave burn the new chips at SITM so I don't know how he got to that stage.

Yes you do need a seperate EPROM writer. This is not supplied with the SharkTuner, but they aren't expensive.

This is also described in the ST User Manual which is on the 928GT website - under "Tools"
