Fresh Water Frenzy - 928's Going to Hell! (Michigan) - July 29th
Mark your calendars! July 29th will be the date for this year's Fresh Water Frenzy - 928's Going to Hell!
Our own "Sharks" (Mark H.) has offered up his cottage in Hell, MI to host this year's event. As many of you know, Michigan is not known for twisty roads. Straight-line and ovals, yes, but not twisty. Fortunately, Hell has probably some of the best twisty roads in the lower peninsula, so there should be a lot of fun driving.
We will probably have a couple of slight tech sessions, and Mark and I will have our supercharged 928's for people to ogle.
The 928 Owner's Club will probably be sponsoring a t-shirt, and at least one vendor has committed to sponsor some door prizes. (Damn! This is going to be a REAL event.)
We'll search out a hotel for out of towners, but in the meantime, please mark your calendars and let us know if you're planning on attending. I think in the past we've had as many as 21 cars - maybe more. I'd like to see 30+ this year.

Still working out the details, food, drinks, drive route, ... but looks like the ball is rolling.
The address of the cottage is 4339 Patterson Lake Road, Pinckney Mi 48169 for you MapQuest users.
Main post office is in Pinckney, but we are officially in Hell (1/4 mile west of Hell to be exact).
Children invited (we have 3 boys that are always looking for others to play with). We have a play structure and all the old video games they can handle.
The cottage is truly the cottage from Hell (very small and and needs work) but we have two bunk beds and a queen size bed to offer up to out of towners, the couch and floor works too just in case. I plan to send the boys home with my wife later in the evening.

Green Bay to Pinckney
468 miles going through Milwaukee & Chicago
537 miles going "up and over" through the U.P.
I would assume 69 extra miles is worth it to avoid Milwaukee and Chicago. Or am I missing some other details?
I could take the ferry accross as well:
252 total miles + 4 hours on the ferry + $107
Not sure - what do you guys (and gals) think?
