Anyone who has never driven through "da U.P." will be very grateful when he/she finally arrives in Hell!
Great timing, BTW! Just sold my '85 and am currently "Porscheless"!

666 in Hell
Guess where I was today (6/6/6). Thousands of people, custom cars, and more motorcycles than I have ever seen. People were parked almost a mile away and walking to the three small business in town. News crews and helicopters flying overhead. Kind of like a cross between Daytona Beach Spring Break and Las Vegas atmosphere (people got married there today). I have never seen the place so busy. Can't wait until the 928's go to Hell.http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...015/1013/rss07

Is there any real plan of activities for the event yet? Is it going to be more of a drive, a hang out and look at and talk 928s type of event, or something else? Lunch or dinner plans? Any idea of when the event will start or end? Just trying to get a better idea of what would be going on. I might be in the Detroit area around then and might be able to get by there.

Larry-
We're still pulling this together, but here's a rough plan of events.
Friday evening - Out of towners arrive at the hotel (we still need to settle on one. THere was a Best Western that we used a couple years back that worked pretty good. Had a bar and restaurant.)
Saturday (Actual day of the Fresh Water Frenzy)
Morning - Drive to Hell, MI - Plan on arriving around 10 am. Mingle and look at cars. May have a 1 or 2 lite tech sessions (as we have no lift in Hell). There may be an early morning tuning session ont he dyno for my SC'd car. Not sure yet.
Lunch - Will be prepared by local OC members (Burgers and Dogs and similar items) I'm planning on bringing the meat. We may ask people to donate $5 a head to cover cost.
Mid-Afternoon - Go on drive through the Pinckney State Recreation Park area and end back in Hell for more BS and other activities. Walk over to "Downtown" Hell for Ice Cream.
Evening - Not sure if (drinking, etc.) festivities will continue in Hell or back at the Hotel. Probably both.
Sunday - Maybe a breakfast before people head home. Tech sessions on cars as needed to get them running for the trip home.
That's kind of the general plan or at least how it's gone down in previous years. Things may change slightly.

Wife and I will be on the road by noon on Friday - Tim and Rachel Murphy are talking about going. We were planning on coming back Monday, so now we get a whole day of shark site-seeing!
Dyno day would be fun - with three supercharged sharks there!
