94 WHITE GTS ON E-BAY
I almost bought this car and went so far as to have it inspected. It is a real good one but the owner in Oregon wouldnt sell it to me for less than 36.3k. I offered 33k. Now he sells it to Willhoit for 32k. He is looking to get 40k if you are interested. It appraised for 38.It was stll on autotrader.com for 37 plus from Doug Blizzard Motors of Portland.

Hi Mack-
Willhoit now has it posted on his site:

In reading Chuck's registry info, it looks like a one owner car..I assume that's who you were dealing with?
From what the picures show, it looks like it's in nice shape.

maybe they are boxster. Doug Blizzard of Blizzard Motors in Oregon told me Turbo twist aftermarket. But then he didnt seem to know that much about the car anyway. It certainly looks a lot better than the pictures onauto trader .com which were taken in the rain.

Think about it...you are shelling out $90K for a car and you just take the basic leather option package. Seems a few more "G"'s would be no biggie at that point to upgrade the leather...unless of course you were tapped!

Keith,
I guess I was also trying to understand if your comment was supple/draped vs standard on the seats or more of a get more leather ... By the time of the GTS the amount of standard leather in the car was decreasing notably. Basically I think standard was just seats, door inserts, cassette box, gear selector and steering wheel... Chuck will correct me though...
I wonder if it was just cost control (and a dealer opportunity to "sell-up") or a recognition that there were long term issues with leather panels that were starting to show up... maybe it was easier to deal with warranty issues on "customer specific options" Who knows?
Anyway I guess I mostly have poor mans leather then - dammit Keith I was feeling rich until yesterday...
