Yep. Brake pad wear sensors and RDK (tire pressure system) are offline too.

Ah Andrew - I just checked the location listed in the wiring diagrams... maybe they didn't update it - since says the same for a GTS too... I've never looked for one in a real '91....

I think foryou its still above the CE panel though - take a look.

Worf had it. Connectors were futzed up! I cleaned as best I could, put some Deox-it and they're on now. Damn it though! Now I lost my chance to see what has been done to the bulb controller.

Thumbs up

Andrew - you've got to dive in there and figure out whats going on - don't stop now - fix it till its broken again

Seriously - might still be worth knowing if someone threw the bulb monitor away...?

Yeah... fix till it's broken... done that before. Some day when I'm really bored, and have nothing better to do. Right now ignorance is bliss!

Don't we all have at least one area of the car we know we should touch but don't figurin' we're better off not knowing? For me it's the CEL panel on the '89. I *know* I'm not going to like what I find behind it...

Andrew, you have to just be persistent. We can all do our best from afar, but ultimately it comes down to you tracing everything down methodically until you get the result you want -- or paying someone to do it, which always carries the risk of unintended side effects. At least when your own work has unintended side effects, you'll know what you've touched.

Dave, that spot for me right now is the center console. Yeah, I'll get in there, replace some bulbs as a minimum. It just hasn't been a priority.

Dave, center console huh? I've got the console and pod out on Carl's '87 doing the odo gear, vacuum pots (see condom thread) and console lights. The wiring for the dash lights is sure easy to trace through on the diagrams.... NOT

Haven't looked at that part of the 87 diagram... it's easy enough on the early cars though. I've just been too busy to dive in is all.

Please don't mis-understand me, I'm not afraid to tackle the bulb controller, I just don't want to open that can-o-worms right now. There are bigger fis to catch for the moment - like the tensioner boot and a supercharger.
