Seriously though....
You can't tell me that everybody is spending $50 to $80 bucks EACH for new actuators and then pulling them apart to get the new fifty-cent rubber diaphragm out.

Jane ... tell me you have an available sister
.... I think if one talked to any chick in Seattle along the humorous lines in this thread, one would be considered a sex offender.

I'd guess tractor tubes are relatively thick and non-pliable. Bicycle tubes?
There are pix of the actuator and diaphragm here:
http://members.rennlist.com/pirtle/svc_act.html
and a pic of the way the actuator assembles here:

It looks as if the molded shape of the diaphragm may be important. Anybody know the guage/thickeness of the rubber? What the "throw" of the actuator is?
But since a generic might work fine, maybe one of these firms can help:

http://www.coastcraft.com/

The last one list a bunch of other companies.
Carchick, if you've already got one apart to measure ......
BTW, tire tubes of various sizes make great, extremely durable rubber bands. A vice, a couple of straightedges and a razor blade and you've got an assembly line.

What about the Silicon ? rubber solution that can be used to make flexible moulds. Available from craft/hobby shops. Looks like the Female half of the casing could be used as a mould.
