What's your favorite wax?
Hey Y'all,
It has been awhile since we've talked "wax", and I'm curious to know what everyone will be shining up their sharks with for what we Spring-Summer-Fall-Winter people call the '06 Season?
To be clear, what I'm talking about is the final coat, the shiny, protective layer, be it natural wax, synthetic, or polymer. Feel free to illustrate your entire cleaning/polishing/waxing regimen if you like, but be sure to let us know what brand wax you prefer and why.
For the record, I'm torn. I've done the Rejex routine, but wasn't really that impressed, except in the durability department. Smells petro-stanky, too. So, my most recent waxing was with Mothers California Gold Carnauba. Great shine, and smells lovely, but more care is required to avoid overrunning it on black window trim, and it does pile up around the small, molded in lettering on lens covers.
In Michigan, we've gotta wash alot, what with frequent rains and dew and all. I'm a compulsive waxer, too, so I don't rate durability that highly. I want the rich sheen, and I'll spend a couple of hours every few weeks to keep it!
Sorry to ramble, but I can't wait to read what y'all are using these days! Thanks!

I use mothers three phase wax. I use the first stage once or twice a year then you can use phase two and three whenever you want. Stage one is a pre-cleaner, stage two is a polish, stage three is a regular wax. Works great for me and I love the results.

Rejex; the secret to using it is to put on as little as possible.
Previous fav was a coat of '3M Imperial Hand Glaze' followed by a coat of 'One Grand Blitz' wax which looked awesome. Detailers use that combo.
Of course, clay-bar before applying any 'wax'.

S100 (same as P21S but cheaper), can pick it up at the local Harley dealer. NXT on the daily drivers, easy to use and lasts long enough. I've used Zaino, Zymol Carbon, Pinnacle Soveriegn (SP?), Mothers and a few others and found S100 was easiest to apply and looked awesome on really dark cars. NXT and Gold Class (yeah oldie) looked awesome on anything ligther than a Medium Grey.
