bikini waxed babes waxing my shark in the hot sun while I supervise w/a beer in my hand? anything w/carnuba seems fine to me. but I've got an aftermarket paintjob, so it's probably not as picky as OEM stuff... pretty much everything seems to look good till the friggin birds an bugs get in the way.

SUPER FINISH by Ultra Car Care Products....simply the best. You have to shake the bottle up to mix the active ingediants. Just wipe on and wipe off...and that IS it!. Great for windows too! I have used it for close to 20 years. I have tried many others, but nothing has ever compared to this stuff.



I also have a case of Rejex in the garage that I have not used as of yet, so I cannot say how good it is.

I have also heard that Optimum is a good product...some of the guys in the concours forum like it....another good product I got to use recently was www.adamspolishes.com they make some good stuff

But nothing give the lasting shine that rejex does....it is a little harder to use, since the car has to be under 85 degrees and in the shade plus cure for 8-12 hours in the shade as well....but it is worth it....I haven't waxed my car in 7 months and it still looks very good!!

I like Rejex. I do one application on Saturday, let sit overnight, then a second application on Sunday.

Lasts a long time.

Blackfire

I have used damn near everything out there and this stuff is the best.
Klasse All-in-one is a good start (after a clay bar of course). Then Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish, the the Blackfire All-Finish Paint Protection.

Once the final coat of All-Finish Paint Protection has been applied, I will sometimes follow with a coat of either P21S or Pinnacle Liquid Souveran for little bit of extra shine...

As much as all that sounds, it really doesn't take that long to do and the quality of shine cannot be beaten. It's lasts for a very long as well.

Try this:
Wash (use dawn to strip old wax)
Clay bar (I like mothers or adams)
semi-wash to remove clay
Polish (Adams revive/scratch remover works good...P21 paintwork cleaner..mequiars scratch-x..etc)
Wax (a good cleaner wax/sealant with long life..(griots paint sealant) but a little cleaner to remove polish)
wait one day for sealant to cure
light wash
Rejex
wait another day
Rejex again
wait another day......

that would look AWESOME.....plus it will last a long time!! I plan on doing this in the next few days to mine....BUT if you wanted the ultimate "Wet" shine...try this:

Its a carnuba wax....it will look better than rejex..BUT it is harder to apply-remove & will only look good for a couple weeks...

I tried the 3M Hand Glaze with P21S on top. Had a difficult time because the wax went on streaky and I was using a Porter Cable. How long did you wait before putting on the wax?

I have used pretty much everything that DIDN'T cost $150.00 per bottle.
Good stuff all of it, wether synthetic or the beloved carnuba mixers.
However, out here -Midland, Tx - various counties are on the move from month to month.
By that I mean airborne.
The wind is constant and the sand runs from talcum fine to Grade 5 rock.
The stuff infiltrates every where.
You can't use the California dustmop here.
Constant rinsing rather than washing is a must hand drying then ...
Confession time;
I buy 4-5 bottles of whatever Turtle Wax -preferably containing Carnuba- is sitting in
the 2 fer' a buck bin. Leave a bottle in the sHARk during the heat of the day and apply the oily top slop to ye olde white tube sock then remove/polish with the softest old white cotton T shirt in the county. My rule of thumb is when you see a fly, or, misquito skittering around on the paint while trying to land you have arrived!

Brian, I think if you put Rejex over wax it won't last as long. Up for an experiment? On one half of the cowl(the thin piece penetrated by the wiper shafts) try as you suggested and on the other half apply Rejex directly on freshly polished, clean paint. Check after a couple car washes. I'd try it myself, but I've sworn off wax for good.

The sealant I use is also a polymer-acrylic like Rejex...techinically its called "Teflon Paint Sealant" the reason I use it first is it does have a touch of cleaner in it to remove the last little bit of polish & its better at filling in the little scratches than rejex is....also it was originally designed to last one year...which of course is a bit optimistic....but it is the layering I have on the car now? 7 months and still looking good!!

I don't remember a name, and never did use it, but once in an Excellence mag I saw a comercial for some Swedish wax. The prices were somethign like 100$ per 100g, and up(I think it went up to 3something). Could someone explain to me how the wax can be almost as expensive as a ****ty paintjob????
