Default module under dead pedal

The PO sent me the module to plug back into the Viper alarm unit. When I removed the dead pedal to reattach the module, I found a relay or module mounted there with part # 928 641 602 04. It has 2 large connections, one yellow and one black. Only the yellow is connected and the black is left hanging. 1st, what is this part and 2nd, should the black connector be attached as well?

Thanks.

Brett,

Which car does this relate to and what is the viper alarm module plugging into? - is it just wired there as a convenient location of does it connect directly to things there...? The Central Warning System is usually located there....

HI , Alan nailed it, that part is for the central indicator, there should be 2 plugs a black one and a yellow one, that are connected to this module, it is located under the dead pedal

that must be why the black connector is unplugged

The viper module is just wired there. Good place to hide it.

Yes on the GTS's the cruise control was switched to there from the central console - not sure what was there in 89-91 after the central warning unit moved to be integrated into the digital dashboard....? anyone ?

took me 2 yrs to unscramble/fix all my warnings when I finally got the CES working... biggest buggers were insuring correct bulbs and fixing the low coolant warnings on my 85S the alarm is behind the glovebox... guess by moving stuff around it keeps techs guessing/busy

are you happy w/your viper? my fact alarm is kaput, and doesn't have remote power door locks anyway, so I'm investigating an aftermarket unit that'll handle remote entry, maybe have some kind of ignition kill and motion sensor for the int. so I can leave the sunroof open w/out worrying too much...

2 connectors, one is info going in - other one going out. I took 1 warning ligth ( read cable) out of the connector- "bremskreis" was going on and of all the time, so I killed it....
