As Jim said, the return line, even under pressure, will vary too much based on fuel demands of the engine at different loads and rpms.
get a spare fuel rail nut, weld an AN fitting (or i think it was 1/4 NPT female)
on it and attache the fuel guage and tap for the fuel solinoid for the NOS system.

hey Brett,
Im a newby to this forum so spotted your post whilst browsing, I had a 100hp wet system plumbed into my 87s4 auto.Once armed it doesn't work till my right foot is hard to the floor.Once you get that nos buzz there's no going back! I only drive it on the weekends, so as soon as I jump in, on goes the bottle(10lbs) I've since upped it to 150hp...woohoo... Its been on my s4 for a couple of years now with no problems and the 10lb bottle lasts for ages.
One tip, make sure you fit a purge valve as when you turn the bottle off the nos thats left in the line evaporates overnight. So when you turn the bottle on there's just air in the line and it takes a while when the throttle is hard down for the nos to come through.
Glenn.

Hi all
Received the kit I bought today...
Contains..
1 x 11 lb Nitrous bottle with Power Valve
2 x Bottle mounting brackets (think quick release giant jubilee clips)
1 x long blue nylon pipe (from bottle to engine)
1 x Fuel solonoid (red)
1 x Nitrous solonoid (blue)
1 x micro switch (for under throttle pedal)
1 x fuel T piece (WONT BE USING as its for rubber fuel pipe)
1 x red push button for activation (wont be using as will be fitting a "Fighter Pilot" switch exactly the same as my WOT switch.
Other parts needed I have ordered today...
1 x Bottle pressure Gauge (not strictly needed but gives an idea of temperature from pressure reading)
1 x Machined fitting to fit on end of left hand fuel rail (remove 19 mm nut first)...Fitting will also have a spare outlet (blanked off) for future fitting of a engine Fuel pressure gauge if needed)
1 x pack of 10 olives and nuts (for all pipes as i prefer NEW rather than old fittings)
1 x metre red fuel line ( to replace old pipe)
1 x metre blue nitrous line ( to replace old pipe)
Cost of above inc carriage £98
Total cost so far...Kit second hand £295 + new parts £98 = £393...
Bottle to fill at around £5.50 per pound = £60
Next update...when I start fitting it
All the best Brett
