Smokin Taillights
So...after seeing all the picture posts..and remembering what Keith Widom did to his taillights...I got motivated and hit the local parts store for some sandpapaper, and dark window tint.
I proceeded to sand the lettering off of one lense..starting with 320 grit...then jumped to 1000...and then used some plastic polish to smooth out any scratches....got the passenger side light done, and grabbed the window tint (dark limo) and proceed to " not " get the tint on there. I don't know how the others did it..but one sheet would not fit without some serious cuts and patching..due to the curve of the lense......
Not to be outdone...researched the threads here on Rennlist and decided to try and find some "transparent" paint. Checked 4 places..and last one had on small can of Testors transparent Black left...grabbed it ..got home...cleaned the lenses and below is the result of the effort....
Looks really dark in the daylight....but with the flash, the color still comes through. We'll see how much light it blocks once the sun sets...

Tom, I saw a pair of S4 tail lights on eBay today that had been coated black, $400. +/-, and they looked good. I don't know what the coating was but they did looke good. I would like to see more pix of your rear turbo install if you have them.
