Default FOR SALE: Blaupunkt Orlando CD 72 receiver

Hi Y'all,

Bigmac just completed a total stereo system upgrade and overhaul, and so his old, factory Blaupunkt CD is for sale.

It has a motorized flip-down face (also detachable for security, I suppose) and everything works just fine and as it should. I've got the manual, faceplate case, and factory wiring harness plug.

Although this is an aftermarket unit, which was installed at some point to replace the original in-dash cassette unit, there are no pre-out RCAs.

I think there's a remote too; I'll double check that tonight.

It's in excellent condition, and I think $90 plus shipping is appropriate. I've got more pics, too, if you'd like.

Oh, we've also got a full set of 10 factory speakers and mounting rings, and factory amp if anyone is interested...PM me.

Check it out:

Okay, with regards to the remote control, I will include one, however, I don't know if it works The story is that the original remote went missing, and a kind Canadian Rennlister supplied us with a replacement, which we never put a battery in and used. It is a Blaupunkt unit, but maybe designed for another model. Might work, might not.

A couple of pics more:

I didn't install the Orlando, but I believe it was Porsche dealer supplied. Is the unit you linked to needed to connect it to the factory wiring harness?

To Interested Parties: Sorry I don't know more, but we had a shop install the new stuff, so I don't know exactly how the previous system went together.

Ok, borland. Thanks for putting me straight on the aftermarket/dealer situation. So, will the pictured /included plug be all that's needed to wire into a standard S4 stereo harness (as in upgrading from factory tape deck), or would the adapter you mention be needed as well?

Sale is pending on the Orlando unit (and also the speakers).

Thanks again, Borland, for your insight and tips.

I have one of these in mine. I like it a lot, plus the colors match my Jaeger blue LED gauge lights. My stereo was "upgraded" by a PO so I didn't need to patch it to the factory one. Mine didn't come with a remote, however, but I know there were several that were compatible with it.

Blaupunkt USA has the owner's manuals here.
http://www.blaupunktusa.com/Blaupunk...ndo%20CD72.htm

See page 37 for the wiring diagram.
Blau uses the Lego block style adapter plugs.

Think to use the remote user has to install the remote IR eye.

Got the RC823 credit card remote for my Blaupunkt San Francisco.
The RC-10 steering wheel remote just didn't fit comfortably to my Momo 3-spoke wheel.
So I velcroed the RC823 remote to the back of the steering wheel and put the remote
eye at the upper right corner of the pod.
Adjust the Blau head unit with hand still on the wheel.
