I like the idea of louvers.
Wonder if the rear quarter glass would need something as well?
I think they would need to stay within the plane of the rear hatch.

May be interesting to explore creating a lighter rear glass replacement that includes integrated custom louvers? But you would lose the rear wiper and likely, the rear defroster.
Below are some playing around with Microsoft Paint, some more great examples of louvers on cars, and the "Fuzzy" 928 which seems to stay close to the plane of the hatch (side view), but seem to "jump out" in the rear quarter view.

i think the side view looks like the hair on the back of a dog standing up when he is mad...
the view from the rear, i kinda like.....
i think if you lowered a little it would look much better..

Bravo Al for what you accomplished! I always love and admire any fabrication and the 'development/story' process...
excellent image Carlos, this is what I'm talking about as 'sleek and subtle' and this design is badass!
(Been studying 'Fuzzy' a bit, what an amazing build, but the flames just sticks out and ruins (sorry) it.. but then again, it's more of a 'show' car...)

Don't mean to tick you guys off that don't like louvers, not my intention here. My vision of rear louvers is 'subtle', and 'flush' as possible. It does serve a purpose of not just the sun, but also adds a little more privacy. I think whatever louvers goes on, it has to be "designed" correctly for the 928. And if it looks good, who knows? might be a market for these (but at a good price point), lots of 928 rear windows w/o louvers out there, lol (joke). This is kinda what I'm picturing in my head, just a quick mock up... (save the flamin, it's just a discussion)
