Default Hypercoil Spring Kits at Spa

Two reports from one of our sponsored racers - Jerry De Weerdt -
describing the first races of the season for him after installing our Hypercoil springs and Koni's:

Pics or Jerry's car here: http://www.928m.com/DeWeerdt.html

From May 30th:
I finally got around to testing the new suspension in Spa last week and boy what a difference! The car feels rock solid on the track as opposed to the swaying it did before. I'm very happy with my choice of springs and I'll recommend it to anyone who asks.
From April 10th:
Last weekend we opened the new Belcar series in Belgium at Spa Francorchamps. I run in the Belcar Historic division with my 928. Qualifying didn't go too well because of a technical problem. I only managed to put in 3 laps on a still relatively wet track. This resulted in 19th position on the grid out of 25 cars. Pretty disappointing. The race itself went a lot better. Fortunately we were able to repair the car and continue the race.

Starting out in 19th position i had already passed 5 cars at the top of Raidillon. The straight line speed of the 928 was a lot higher than most of the others so the long straight Raidillon was ideal for overtaking them.

The stability of the car with the new suspension and the Pirellis is phenomenal, so even though I had never raced at Spa before, i did manage to run at the same pace as the other Porsches (except for 1 a 911 RSR 3.0). I finished in 8th place in general and 3rd in my class after a 25 minute race so needless to say I was very satisfied. First race, first podium of the season.
Good going Jerry! Happy that we could help.

Those lucky guys . . . I'd love to run Spa. What spring rates did he use?

Hmm, looked at the website. I think those replicas are his rain wheels (at Zolder?). He's got some bigger meats on now (and an S4 nose) for Spa in the dry.

with those rates up front are you having issues with understeer?

I would say that 850/450 is a bit soft at the rear with understeer as a result BUT that can be adjusted with sway bars and tire sizes. It hard to say if the car suffers from understeer without knowing anything about the swaybars and tires.
