Option sticker is under the rear mat on the floor over the gas tank area.
I cannot advise on chipping.
Bellypan screws are all 8MM head sheet metal type except for two M6 (10mm head, 6mm shaft) bolts with large fender washers that go in depressions more or less towards the center of the plastic bellypan part. Quite often the places where the small screws go into the frame rails (two outer wings at the front of the black plastic bellypan, two braces on the front of the rear aluminum bellypan section) are stripped and you will see larger screws, such as 10mm head sheet metal screws, used there. Get the screws and bolts from one of the 928 suppliers.
The shift point can be adjusted with the bowden cable. Look at the throttle quadrant where all the cables are bracketed on the side of the intake. The bowden cable is the one that you can trace back to the firewall center area, and with a flashlight you will see that it goes down to a bracket on the top of the bellhousing and from there back to the tranny. This cable should be just snug. You adjust it by popping off the ball end (pry off with a 10mm open end).
To get full power, the throttle cables must be adjusted so the throttle returns to the idle stop (you will hear a faint switch click) but there is essentially no slack. The cable has two pieces to adjust. Find where the first half comes through the firewall below the brake booster. There is a twist adjustment there. You can usually turn it by hand or a 13mm open end. Careful - it is plastic. Screw that out until there is essentially no slack in this cable at the quadrant. The second cable section that goes to the throttle body under the intake has a very similar twist adjuster, but right on the quadrant. Do the same. Make sure you still hear the throttle switch idle click. If you do not hear that click, the idle will be high and erratic. The idle should be 675+/-25 except when warming up.
928 S4 logo on the rear is uncommon. Most cars came without it.

Loaded - Haven't heard any S4 owners recommend new chips - seems no noticeable gain. MY 85/86 32v are the one's that come alive with performance chips.
Bill - Sweeeeet Pic with the new wheels!!! Totally changed the look of your car...wow!!
