Especially if he is the original owner. Talk about a lose-lose for the PO.

Colors?
Rennlist Membership so we can see the pics?
Auto/Manual?
639 Option if Manny?
VIN for the registry.

Many websites for us crazy guys. Try 928s4vr.com

Get a PPI before you buy - or you may have to change your Rennlist name.

Good luck and welcome to the club.

Also, read the FAQ above. You will find all kinds of stuff on the 928, but here's a good start.

Yeah, read the FAQ. And here's my personal but not exhaustive 928 resource list...

BTW, this car does sound too good to be true. You need a PPI. He made copies of all the receipts and sent them to you? Wow.

The only thing I see wrong with your purchase is that I didn't get to buy the car first. I missed yet another deal! It's a good thing I'm broke 'cause I'd buy all the 928's I could. I'm addicted. Could be worse I guess.

Cameron I can post the VIN later but how do I find out the options? Is there an option plate? I drove the Pee out of it last night. Man is it fun. Rock solid just needs cleaning Leather is perfect. but needs waxing etc. A/C blows extremely cool, has a nice sony stereo that was installed never tuned but honestly I keep the windows down to hear the exhaust (better then viagra) all switches work perfectly computer works perfectly. When you stab it hard enough and it presses the little button down it will catch second gear rubber.
I am going to try to install the chips in it next, I need directions on how to do it. If anybody has a link please send it to me.

I spent two hours going through paper work last night and the chain of owners. at 87K the timing belt has been change 3 times the last time one year ago. There is an inch of receipts from new tell now.
Michael Scott Anderson Owner number 1
Avaliah &^%%^#$%%^ dont know her last name was certified used porsche owner number 2
Scot Bean owner number 3
Thomas Harian owner number 4
Fausto Ordonez Owner number 5 (thats me)

Here are a few things that I need to do. Reinstall belly pans it came with the original plastic in perfect shpae large one and a large aluminum one.........I need to find bolts to install these.....Mr Harian said he removed these to show others the underneith while he was selling it and has since lost the bolts. He also said he felt it ran cooler! Is this true?
He installed a lower thermostat 180degree
Devek radiator
Devek tranny cooler
RMK? exahaust (the tail pipe thingy that makes it loud)
After market stereo with AMP (sounds like crap I need help with it)
New speakers in stock locations
It has an extra intake manifold ( he bought to repaint and install)
He installed a MOMO steering wheel and has the nearly unscathed original one NOT one mark on it
MOMO shifter (it doesnt lock meaning there is no detent button and it freely moves from gear to gear)
BBS 3 piece wheels in gold. I want stockers unless somebody here can tell me why i should keep them.
Keyless remote never used until last night programmed them to work and they work great

Here is what I have noticed sometimes it will rev cleaningly all the way to redline and have lots of power ( I can distinctly feel the button on the floor click)
Other times I cant feel the button on the floor and it will only go to 5k rpm and seems to short shift and lack power.
Does the kick down button also regulate power delivery?
It doesnt appear to have been repainted but there is not 928s4 sticker on the tail... whats up with that?

As an '85 owner, the only question I can help with is the last. Porsche is consistently inconsistent with rear signage. It must be optioned from the factory is my guess, 'cause each MY has all possible combinations somewhere and then you get people who put newer bumpercovers and spoilers on older models. there should be a sticker under the hatch rug, passenger side. I've never seen it discussed. 928 International has a list of codes in their catalogue.

It's called a "Rear Muffler Bypass", or RMB. Fun stuff...

These cars could be ordered with or without. I have some replacement for it in my store at www.hookedoncars.com, if you're interested.
