Default ENGINE CONVERSION: 350 V8

Would like your opinions on which model year to do this to.
Will probably stick with an auto tranny.
Local mechanic can do it for about $8K.
Thanks
anyone selling a 928 without engine or one that needs rebuilding?

It's a waste of $8k IMO. You could buy a running S4 complete for that and have a better car. Do it with a low value plentiful car like an 80-84 US if you're going to do it.

Do a search.

That "about $8000" will quickly turn into +$12 000. Buy one that already has the conversion. I'm sure you can find a nice one for under $6000.

Very impressive john. Why would you make a conversion your not hurting for cash. buy a "NICE" S4
for what it's going to end up costing and have a true drivers car.
I am by no means a purist fanatic. but you will just own a cheap chevy in the end.
again very impressive houses

I would go for a nice car with the four speed automatic. Condition is the most important thing.

Actually, a 944 v8 conversion is also very impressive. Easy to get a running 944 for not too much cash.
