Default Wrenching in SF Bay Area this weekend

Beautiful day for wrenching! Minor stuff, but always fun.

Today at noon:
- Surgiblade's (Mike's) seat switch replacement.
- Anything else? Matt, how about you door stays?

Tomorrow starting at 10:30 am:
- Brian's brake fluid flush.
- Fussing with Brian's sound system.
- Shmurzik's car gets an evaluation on the rack and probably a Jager Speedmount stop-gap procedure for what appears (from just looking at the motor from above) to be failed motor mounts. Further work with Dave A on Shmurz's parasitic draw.

Weather today looks far better than forecasted. Any locals who want to come on by my place today and/or tomorrow, please do. Maybe a ride this afternoon?

While you guys are living the easy life under Bill's lift, I'll be swaping out my front suspension with the car on little old jack stands. Quick trip to OSH for a missing tool, then time for me to go back to work....Have fun guys!

Bill, love to come by spin wrenches, go for a drive, have a cold one (or 2).

Today we have F1, NASACAR and Daytona motorcycles on tv while theres fresh snow on the ground and -5c.

This is when the cabin fever really hits............I guess I could go polish some more.

I plan to see you guys tomorrow... hopefully Shmurzik chimes in & confirms. Last I heard he was looking at battery cutoffs. If nothing else, it will make the troubleshooting go easier.

Brian, for some reason the S4 had non-adjustable front springs/shocks. WTF?....I guess the P.O. swapped them out at some point. The front ride height was 120mm. I just happen to have a spare set of S4 spring/shocks with the adjusters. So thats what I was doing today. Very easy job thanks to Tony's write up. I'll put it all back together tomorrow. Then drive it around and check the ride height, adjust, and get a new alignment.

I have the battery kill switches and will be there. I did not however receive the speedmount, which was ordered on Thursday morning with overnight ($50+) shipping

p.s. Bill, I would also be more than happy to help with other cars you'll be working on tomorrow (Brian's, yours) - let me know if you think I'd be useful.

Everybody is welcome, although Brian's stuff is real easy. Let's hope the weather cooperates. Today was glorious if kinda cold for this area.

Bill,

I might drop in tomorrow. I did the brakes on the wifes car today and still need to do a brake fluid flush. Maybe after that.

Mike:

Your bellypan was smashed to bits in that area and the metal piece probaby just fell through the pieces of the pan.
