Default Proper Lock Lube

Can anyone comment on the proper lock lubricant to use while rekeying them?

Graphite! It is slippery, so does a good job of lubricating, but does not attract dust and get all gritty.

Graphite may tend to gum up the lock unless you completely disassemble the lock and remove the factory grease.

If you completely degrease them, then I'd use white grease. The flap should keep dirt from entering.
