Default 1983 Shark: Sharing Photos

Hi folks,

I've lurked around for the past few months and thought I'd post photos of my 928 which I bought for $6K before I left last October. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan but have still managed to have my auto transmission's leak fixed, rear brakes replaced, fluids changed (all to the tune of $1200) and exterior completely resprayed. I bought the car with some paint issues (chips, minor dings, etc) even though it had been resprayed by the PO. The PO maintained the car well with a ton of receipts from his local Porsche dealership. The interior (even though I don't have photos right now) is excellent with the exception of the front seats that need some TLC. Everything works on the car except the power antenna. All said, I still am into the car for well under $10K, still amazing to me considering how wicked the car is in appearance and pure driving pleasure. I look forward to driving the car when I return! My wife has agreed to take her for a spin every couple of weeks to keep the juices flowing. Enjoy the photos and thanks for everyone's enthusiasm about such a great car. What a joy it is to drive.

Great Car - did you remove the rub strips or did it come without them from the factory.
Thank you for what you are doing in Afghanistan and be safe.

Hi guys,

Thank you very much for the comments. To the best of my knowledge, this shark never had rub strips. Bill, this is Platinum Metallic which was the original color.

Photo so you don't think I'm full of it. I'm in the middle. Thanks, again. R64.

Looks incredible. No rub strips and no rear spoiler. Perfect. I think that combo looks sooo clean. Congrats on a beautiful shark and get home to her in one piece.

Very clean looking ride... With no spoilers, and those wheels, it looks like my shark's younger sibling...

Nice looking shark. Those wheels really set it off. Are they polished or chromed?

I can't make out a sunroof either. Is that the case? If so, nice find! AT or 5-speed?

That looks really nice.

The OBs really take on new life with modern wheels, a little lowering, and fresh paint...

Rush64... Nice ride for Idaho; ie, lots of good roads over there
