Default interior parts...

is there anyone out there in 928 land that would be willing to swap a really decent black leather dash and two inner black leather door panels for one brown leather dash? for an 81. also, anyone interested in a 79 that is in need of a tranny and some body panels, has no interior, but would make awesome track car or parts *sigh* car? engine is mint.

I have a perfect set of brown leather custom-made to make any dash into a brand new factory brown leather dash, console and glovebox, and I think I have the a-pillar covers too. I don't have brown doors.... All this stuff is later model though.

I am a bit worried on getting the color right and if the color will hold if dyed. plus, I thought black was tough to dye. any idea where I could start looking to get it done? on the 79, no pics, and no price as of yet... I am in Iraq, and my 81 is being restored. I bought the 79 as a parts car because it had no tranny, and someone had already gutted most of the switches inside, along with all of almost all of the relays. I had no Idea if the engine was in good shape, so I didnt want to spend what little money I had getting a tranny in only to find out the engine was a no go. but, later on, after I had already swiped the fenders and front bumper cover, and hood, I met the owner who had the car before the guy I bought it from. the engine was immaculately cared for, as was the rest of the car. the guy that had it before me just bought it for the tranny, and stripped the afformentioned switches and relays. he, in my opinion was a holy retard, because this car would have been an amazing restoration. in anycase, I am already too far into my 81 to shift into restoring the 79. I have one of a few plans for it... #1... my car is going into a 928 specialist for paint and body... I may use the 79 as a bargaining chip to get most of my interior done. #2... I may part it out, sell what I dont need or want, and keep the rest. #3... I may restore her myself as a track car, after gutting the interior and replacing the body panels I pulled off her. really, she's too far gone to be a full restoration, but a hell of a track candidate. here is exactly what she needs to run on a track... tranny and associated rear end parts. front brakes ( yea, I stole those too, sorry folks) air filter ( lol, little, but I know its missing cause there was a nice brand new K&N sitting in the airbox. now my 81 breathes a lil easier), unknown amount of work to the electric system to run... both fenders, bumper cover, hood. the fenders and bumper cover I can supply with the car, but they are off the 81 and do have damage to them... but, as a track car... not hard to fix to the realm of acceptability. the more I think about it, the more I think I may be restoring her myself. still, I dont have the same attachment I do to my 81, so I would be willing to part for a fair price. anycase, lemme know everyone. like I said, I am in Iraq, so checking my post here is sporadic at best.
