Incidentally, that is a similar effect to X pipes, just at a different location.

Daniel, if your in the market for a set of Tri-Y headers for a 928, I think Mark A. may have a set available.

Perhaps Dave Lomas can chime in here also. What would have to be done to get the Motorsport X pipe to mate up.
It would be a good question for DR as well.
Im sure with out having a set of these headers in hand it would be tough for you to both answer, if at all . Seems like many are interested but worry about what is needed to hook them up to various exhaust systems out there?
I know these headers run long towards the back....my guess is the length into the X's would have to be shortend...the whole thing mounted farther aft. Is there then room before everything mates to the "exhaust System"??????
Id love a set, but my X pipe has only been on a few months and id like to keep it in conjunction with the headers. They are sweet!!
I vote for keeping a few sets in stock also Mark

hey greg, im down under in nz for the summer and its good definitely post pics of the rhd headers you have fabbed, but its going to take something to beat the pics sterling has posted..
i also agree that the motorsports X pipe is a beautiful piece and it would be great to see that in conjunction with the headers not to mention the sound

Mark, is stainless available as an option?
Sterling, do you have any pictures of the headers installed from under the car? I would like to look at the placement of the merge collector. I want to install electric cutouts at the end of the collector, and woudl like to see where that woudl dump out the exhaust, and make sure there is no clearence issues.
Thanks
Hans

I am not concerned with using one of the pre-existing x-pipes. I have a tig welder, and can fab up my own. I am just interested in installing 3" cutouts at the output of the collector, and would like to make sure there is space. The cutouts would be installed before the x-pipe. Incase you are not familiar with cutouts, http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/ has a nice graphic representation.
Thanks

I dont particularly care for those cutouts either, but their webpage has a nice diagram. I have also heard that they have leaking issues. I would probably use the new cutouts that summit is carying. I am trying to build my car to be an aggressive street driver, but still daily drivable when needed. I will need a fairly quiet muffler system installed that will probably end up being fairly restrictive. The cutouts will be to actuate a secondary exaust system with light weight components, just enough to get the level down acceptable to track on the weekends. I may also use cats in the primary system for both enviornmental and muffling reasons.
Thanks
Hans

Two sets we ordered arrived few days ago. Titanium coating (on both outside and inside) was done by Embee Performance. Big thanks to Mark for setting this up.
