Tony
AWESOME!!!!! Bigger injectors should help the lean condition to boost hp...odd that the logger showed a good AFR, but the dyno showed a lean condition? Odd?

500-500.......you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try the tiny pulley with 100 octane race gas....that should do it!

I think they have 91 out there.

In Pa/NJ Sunoco has 94 octane, and most others have 93.

Duuuuude.....

Dayum!!......using the standard conversion for an AT....at 0.8...assuming 20% loss....

That would be.... 560 crank HP....and 528 crank torque....

Double dayum....

Awesome....!!!!!

Later,
Tom

Very nice. I wonder if going straight methanol may give you t he boost with the same size injectors, since methanol should let you run a bit leaner then normal.

And you aren't touching the timing as I recall.

That thing must be bonkers on the road.

And Jim R is right - Tranny cooler.

I just really believe in Methanol or water. I know you saw little changes. but I think at your power level you should be usuing more volume.

This is with your 044 pump correct?

Im not planning on using the methonal as a tuning aid so to speak. If an the nozzle gets plugged, which they DO, you would be screwed if youwere relying on it. I want the power with out it, but want the safe guards that it provides.

No...Herr Bosch as equipped,

That thing must be bonkers on the road.
It is fun i will say that but you can get stupid with it in the blink of an eye, IT WILL BITE YOU.

And Jim R is right - Tranny cooler.
I put that in from day one...its in series with all the other stock coolers. Its plent big and sits right in front.

stock S4 pump. I have a 255L Walbro pump ready to put in. Has the same specs as the bigger bosch unit.

Standard 91 ****ty CA gas here in vegas.

The bigger injectors should do it for you.
I think so as well, along with the bigger pump. I will try the injectors first. If you look at the data log where it goes on the lean trend, the injectors hit 100% duty as they do at 5100...but the pressure does not drop. This tells me the pump is up for it at this point but the required fuel cant be put throught the opening on the 24lb injectors. Plausible?

Are you using a larger bottom pulley? I am at 8.5psi with the small pulley on top, but could hit 460 with 7.5psi, what is the difference in our cars?
Original that came with the kit. The upper is smaller. 2.35". The two inch would not grip on my set up, almost thankfully i think! ..on DR's i believe it will.
Ive always noticed that your numbers always seem to be higher per boost than mine....dunno? Yours is a 5sp, that helps a bit. What size TB are you using? Im using a stock S4. I need to move my vac gauge to the intake track to test a few things i think. Im running stock headers...X pipe...stock resonators and a RMB for an exhaust.

Any chance of you coming to SITM?
I ll be there..with the car i dunno. I have to keep the illusion for the east coast folks that i really dont own a 928 . This year is going to be a hoot with all the goodies about!

Again, Good numbers,

Tony
Might want to consider a refinned torque converter too....it will really help your 1/4 miles times....possibly the rebuilt AMG tranny like Pappy's....supposedly good for 1000hp!! Does your car have an LSD? I hope so with all that power!

About the 5100rpm lean out - wouldn't the pressure increase? I think maybe you should try that 255 pump. If its leaning and there is no pressure increase, maybe the pump IS hitting its ceiling?

Just a thought.

Oh, and the meth injection kits can come with a "nozzle clogged" sensor.

Brian,

A higher stall converter (refined) will hurt Tony’s ¼ mile times. Traction already is an issue and with a higher stall it would become even worst.

Brendan,

Nope, if the pump was maxing out the pressure will drop and the A/F would start to lean out. In Tony's case the pump is still adequate, the injectors are maxing out and leaning out the mixture.
