Mike, unfortunately, tabs cannot be fixed. Once they are done they're done and the rad can only be fixed at a price much greater than a new one. Welding the rad will warp it.

Justin.."The question is...Do you have Lay-Away???? " yes Justin you need a radiator ....we lay you away ! it just does not hurt as much as a new Behr radiator. But if you are serious ,Yes we can take payments over a couple of months then ship you a new radiator.

I have to say that C&R's workmanship is outstanding.. I have just ordered another custom unit... Only down side is I have to wait 5 weeks (because it's custom)......

I know Jim, I would have bought one from you, but some kevlar/teflon snakes have make arrangements to reside in the engine compartment.. They said something about cooling some thing or other...... Animals I tell you, Animals...!

Richard at one time I was trying to Get Rob "blown beast" to have a custom radiator made with about a 6 inch hole right in the middle of the core. That greatly simplifies the air inlet for a snail !

Another radiator option that I ended up with is a new Behr core and new end tanks combined with the top and bottom of my original radiator to keep the tabs for the fan shroud. The other tabs to hold the end tanks to the core are separate parts and replaceable if I need a new seal in the future. My old oil cooler was installed in the new end tank.
The new core has 4 "cores" meaning 4 small water passages front to back instead of just one larger one like all the original 928 cores. The rad core is 1/4" thicker as well. There should be 30-40% more heat transfer due to the new core design. I know it works great.
The place that did it for me is 'A&I Radiator' in Attleboro MA. Look them up if interested. Core and labor was $460.
If the original lasted +-20 years, the replacement should do as well. That's good enough for me.

Ok,
I guess I am going to have to replace it since H indicated there is no fix for broken tabs.
Here are some of my options...please let me know which you guys think is best.

1) Brand new OEM radiator from radiator.com $950 (lifetime warranty)
2) Brand new Behr radiator from fellow Rennlister $600 (been sitting for about 5 years)
3) Brand new Devek radiator $700 from Rennlister's shop (new style welded side tanks)
4) Branks new 928 INTL radiator $895 (all aluminum)
5) Used Behr radiator on eBay $300 (recently rebuilt with new side tanks)

I plan to keep my car for a while, so I would like this radiator to last.

I've had my Devek radiator in place since August '04, no issues. Side tanks are welded on -- actually oven brazed, IIRC. They did make a change for the better, away from the epoxied end tanks.

I picked up new side tanks and seals from 928intl and found a radiator shop to install and replace the side tabs (with new) that you mentioned broke on yours. If I recall correctly they charged about $90 or so for the job. Just left it for a day and voila. That was almost three years ago and still works fine.
