I have the Carrera III wheels from a 997

J8s at front and J10s at the back, what would be the best tyre solution? (size)

and about rear wheels, what are the thickest possible spacers for these wheels so that the tyre doesn't scratch the fender

now I have 235/40 front and 265/35 at the back and somehow it doesn't look quite good

225/40 + 255/40?

Jason don't those wheels stick out at the front or have you got custom control arms?

I would say they are out further than I like but they work nice. Their almost even with the wheel well I believe.

I was thinking the opposite. Lack of center caps gives the wheels more of a track/racing look. I kind of like the look w/out.

Thanks for the thought Larry, but I'm trying to buy them over here since the freight appears to be ridiculous from the States. I'm scouring the ebay and similar sites in Holland / Germany, I think I'll find some soon, just taking my time to find the right ones. I'll post pics when I find them.

I've got a 7mm spacer that should be perfect. Haven't installed them yet though.

These are my new (well refurbed) Cup I replicas. Made by a German mob called Borbett. Did them myself with a bit of Wurth silver and clear over the top...eazy peazy.

Default Are these Porsche wheels?

These are 18" used wheels, they're listed as "Porsche" wheels but I don't recognize the style. Have you seen these on a Porsche before? How do you think they'd look on an 88 S4? They have 225's and 265's on them currently, not sure yet how wide the wheels themselves are. Offset is still a bit ambiguous, I was told 52MM, but I would have expected different offsets for front and rear, don't feel like I'm getting a good answer to that question. Just curious to have your opinion on them as I decide if I should drive an hour and take a look at them. The offset is usually stamped right on the wheel, right?

Chuck-

As a pure GTS fitment question, what are the widths and offsets on your new beauts? I could swear you said somewhere the wheels were 8's/11's, and the rear tires were 305's, but that 35mm stock spacer is putting the wheel outward quite a ways.

I'm asking 'cause I'm looking at some C2S lobster claws that are 19x 8 ET57 and 19x11 ET 51, so I'm interesting in how close your new wheels are to this spec.

EDIT- D'oh, nevermnid, found your specs in that other thread (https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-offset.html)- Search is my friend...

Cliff Note: 8.5 x 19 ET 54, 11x19 ET 62. Very tight with 305's on a 25 mm stock spacer.
