Talking The real stuff !

Just got my Club Sports back from restoration.

Originally they are anodized, but I could not get that done locally, and as one of the wheels needed some damage repair by welding on additional material, I was afraid that the seam would show through the anodized surface.

So I got them stripped, repaired and powdercoated. New tires and brake pads + rotors. Let the show begin

Wow those look really good!

Send your rotors out for Nickel plating....that will keep them looking perfect!

Check it out!

I finally got my old phone dials painted up and mounted. What do you think?

I'm still not sure whether I should go with silver caps or black. I'm thinking silver.

I agree. BTW the car is looking good Mike.

I know it is not a 928 and they are cup1's but you can see the differences on my 964. Both look good although i think the black works a little better.

Sorry to post a 911 here guys but it is for a good cause.

Thanks Jim, Anthony and Ted.

Anthony, I appreciate the pics. They both look cool and I think you're right, but the only center caps I have need to be painted or left silver. I may try gloss black to match the rest of the wheel. You saw the 'before' version of the interior too. You should see it now with the new carpet and seats. It's a long way from done, but I feel like I'm making some real progress. Nothing like wheels to transform the look of your car though.

I do like these wheels, but not on a 928. They just don't match in their present state....JMHO. I was just admiring them on a TT at the P dealership last week and wondered how they would look on a 928..this photo answered my question. NOW, that being said, I am the first guy to be loose with a rattle can and I think I could make them look pretty fly with the right color 928.

Funny you should mention that, I saw an early 928 at an auction with these wheels... wasn't convinced either, but each to their own I guess:

I like the way they look on the black car, the silver not so much.
The biggest drawback for me is the extra low profile those tires have, just a little more sidewall would look better I think.
I may have to get a set since they are not too expensive.
