Question Interesting GTS interior ???

Interesting 93 GTS on Ebay. It appears to have leather covering areas that were normally carpeted on the standard cars. Although the ad does not mention this nor does it appear to have a leather dash or console. Was this an option or is it aftermarket? As you can see the lower door panels, console sides, handbrake and surround, rear of back seats amongst other areas are leather or leatherette. I have never seen this before and it looks much better than the carpet.

Does anyone know if this was offered? If so what option code was it?

Somehow this looks familiar. Maybe it was up for sale not too long ago. I remember a car with some custom leather work where part of the carpet had been replaced with leather.

Nice. It like that color.
It looks like the seats have been recovered as well.

Nicole is right, this was on Ebay and Willhoit bought it and I guess sold it to the current owner. Sure changed hands a lot in the last year or so.

Interior was re-upholstered, nice to see sports seats in a GTS though.

I agree, Sport seats would be great. I really like the leather work. My problem with my beige interior is the difference in color from carpet to leather. I wonder how hard it is to cover everything in leather like they did, I would be interested in doing this to mine.

This car was originally owned by a guy in Chicago and next by a collector in FL who spent $8k+ to put leather EVERYWHERE in the cabin. The seats were even redone. ....it's a bit overdone in my opinion. I'm pretty sure this is the car where a PPI showed a leaky head gasket.

8 grand for cosmetic upgrades is a bit much. My seats are in A1 shape just don't love the carpet so much. I always had a problem with Porsche Beige interior. The seats and carpet just never match properly IMO. I think I will live with my interior as is for 8k.

Same here. I recall one with leather all over the place like this one. Maybe 6 months ago. I can't locate the previous thread.

I remember Wilhoit buying/selling this one a while back....the leather on the transmission hump forward of the rear A/C looks good...but I don't like it on the lower door panel....

That really looks good. In some pics the color looks tan, then in some it looks linen. I'm sure it's just the camera. The auction says Tan though. I got a couple extra hides of linen leather left over from my interior restoration. I would love to replace some of the carpet like that. But, I already have brand new sliverknit everywhere in the car. Something I will have to think about.

I just noticed two unusual details: the power seat buttons only have up/down buttons, and the covers on the outside of the back rests are a different beige than the leather. Maybe that shows the difference between the original leather color and the new leather
